Before accepting your treatment plan, you will know the exact cost and the payment options that would work best for your budget. Does Insurance Cover Braces?

Oftentimes it does! There are so many different types of insurance, but all fall under 3 major types: PPOs, HMOs, and Medi-cal. PPOs, or preferred provider organizations, are insurance companies that cover a portion of the cost, and the patient pays the balance. The patient must go with an in-network doctor to get this benefit. HMOs, or health maintenance organizations, will assign you a doctor that they are partnered with. Medi-cal in California will cover braces for patients under 21 years old who fit the criteria of the Medi-cal point system. Once an orthodontist has confirmed that a patient’s records meet the Medi-cal guidelines, the cost of their braces will be covered.

Fortunately, here at Insight Orthodontics we accept all PPOs and Medi-cal! We want to make orthodontics as affordable as possible to all. For your convenience, we accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and most major credit cards. Payment is expected at the time services are performed.
